The Wisdom of Emptiness

Saturday 3rd February – Workshop – 10am to 1pm

Sunday 4th February – Retreat – 10am to 3pm

‘In Buddhism, emptiness has great meaning. It is the real nature of things, and is a very profound and meaningful object. If we realise emptiness directly we will attain permanent liberation from all the sufferings of this life and countless future lives; there is no greater meaning than this’.

How to Transform Your Life by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

By meditating on the true nature of things, emptiness, we can realise that everything is a mere appearance to the mind, like a dream. Thinking in this way our wisdom increases, reducing our ignorance and confusion, and this wisdom enables us to purify everything and live lightly in our world.

This workshop and retreat will focus on the chapter “Ultimate Bodhichitta” in the book Modern Buddhism by the internationally renowned meditation master Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, with particular emphasis on the meditation ‘A simple training in ultimate bodhichitta’ during the three guided meditations.

Attend either the workshop or the retreat or give yourself a real treat and fully immerse in the wisdom understanding the true nature of things by attending both!

Everybody is welcome, both seasoned meditators and beginners to the practice 🙂
