The Bliss Of Concentration

4 week course Starting 3rd June

Training in mindfulness and concentration brings us to deeper and deeper levels of peace.

To do this we first need to learn how to prevent our distractions and overcome our restless, discontented minds.

Without concentration our mind has no freedom but is forced to go wherever it is led by delusions. A person who has good concentration has control over their mind, and their mind does what they want it to do, like a well-trained horse that obeys its rider.

As we train in meditation, we gradually improve our concentration until we attain tranquil abiding. Every level brings us a deeper peace. When we attain tranquil abiding we’ll experience the bliss of perfect concentration and our mind will be completely undisturbed by anything life throws at it.

What an extraordinary experience that will be!

“If we could construct a protective screen of concentration around our mind, the focus of our meditation would become immovable” Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Meaningful to Behold
