Why Meditation Makes You Happy

There is a lot of interest in meditation but have you ever wondered why? At various dates and locations in January 2019 we will be holding free public talks to explain how meditation can bring happiness and contentment to daily life. We all want to be happy all the time but usually we look for it outside ourselves in the world around us. The true cause of happiness however exists in the mind. The way to increase these inner causes is to practise daily meditation. The talks will be followed by a series of 3 weekly classes to help you begin a simple daily meditation practice at home.  Also included will be a simple guided breathing meditation to give you experience of the many benefits of meditation as well as time for questions and discussion.

The chance to understand simple lifestyle changes they you can make to safeguard your health. An understanding of the part played by the mind – an area often neglected by most health professionals – in improving health and happiness outcomes. Increase your confidence in your ability to control your mind and therefore your experiences. A chance to try a simple breathing meditation. The opportunity to ask questions and find out more about meditation and mindfulness classes in the area.
