Winter Guided Retreat – Be Your Own Doctor 3 – 7 January

In January we have arranged two series of guided retreats, open to everyone including beginners. You don’t have to attend all the retreat but can come to as many sessions as you wish.

Learn how to up-lift your own mind through the power of meditation and daily spiritual practice, and discover the potential of the mind to experience inner peace. Suitable for beginners, this retreat gives everyone the opportunity to try methods that make the mind clear, peaceful and compassionate. Each session is self contained so please feel free to attend those you can even if just one or two. For flexibility the sessions include weekends and weekdays as well as mornings and evenings. In this retreat Gen. Chodor will guide us through the fourteen meditations in the ground breaking book ‘How to Understand the Mind’ by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

Winter Guided Retreat – Happiness is Easy 10 – 14 January (No session 4 on 10th)

Finding lasting happiness does not mean we have to abandon others and become even more self-obsessed. Happiness is a sense of deep inner peace that comes from cherishing others and putting that love into action. In the book ‘How to Transform Your Life’ Geshe Kelsang has mapped out a simple but profound path to lasting inner peace based on wisdom and compassion for all living beings. In this retreat Gen. Chodor will guide you step by step along this blissful path of inner development that has the power to fulfil all wishes and solve all problems. Previous experience not required.

 

Weekdays:

Session 1 9.00 – 10.15

Session 2 11.15 – 12.30

Session 3 16.30 – 17.45

Session 4 19.00 – 20.15 (no session 4 on 10th – instead Offering to the Spiritual Guide Tsog Puja)

Weekends:

Session 1 9.00 – 10.15

Session 2 11.15 – 12.30

Session 3 14.00 – 15.15

Session 4 16.15 – 17.30 

 

Fee 3.00 per session/10.00 per day/30.00 for whole retreat. Please try to arrive 10 minutes before the start of each session.

Each session will include a short teaching that will explain the object we focus on and how to integrate the practice into our daily life . It is not necessary to wear special clothing and we sit on chairs or on a cushion.
